Junior College

From the academic year 2015-16 the admission for 11th Std. is being done Online. We have Arts and Commerce streams at Junior College.

 

Eligibility for Admission

A one year certificate couse in ‘Light Music’ is conducted by the department of Music for general public. The coordinator of the course is Dr. Sunil Katti.

A. (i) For admission to the first year of Junior College, a student must have passed S.S.C Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

(ii) OR from another body or Board recognized as equivalent to the S.S.C exam of the Maharashtra Board mentioned above.

B. Students from outside Maharashtra are required to obtain eligibility certificate from the Higher Secondary Board office prior to their admission to F.Y.J.C./S.Y.J.C.

C. The concerned students are required to submit the following certificates to the Board to obtain the eligibility certificate.

(i) Passing Certificate of the last Public Examination.

(ii) Statement of Marks of Std.X/Xl

(iii)School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate duly certified by the educational inspector concerned.

(iv) Original Migration Certificate for other Board Eligibility form.

(v) Domicile Certificate for Free Education facility from Government.

 

Procedure of Admission:

1. Apply in prescribed form.

2. Produce the original mark sheet of the previous examination.

3. Leaving Certificate of the previous institution with two Xerox copies.

4. One passport size photograph should be attached to the admission form.

5. Two Xerox copies of the first and last page of the ration card for free education if eligible please bring your original ration card.

6. Two copies of Declaration form should be filled up. All the above mentioned documents should be attached to the admission form with Domicile Certificate.

7. Get the admission form checked and signed by the college officials.

8. Pay the fees within three days of the signing of the admission form by the college officials.

 

Freeship / Scholarship /Prizes

a) All students are eligible for concession of free education provided their parents are residing in Maharashtra for the last fifteen years and fulfill other conditions.

b) Lotus-Trust Scholarship for Sanskrit subject for 2 students of each class for optional Sanskrit.

c) The following prizes are awarded on the basis of securing highest number of marks in the particular subject at Higher Secondary Certificate Examination provided she passes the examination at the first attempt and continues studies at this college.

1. Late Smt. lndirabai Oinkar Sapre Prize (For Sociology).

2. Smt.Sushiia Gulanikar Prize in Economics (For Commerce Faculty).

3. Pratap Haridas Bhatia Prize in Gujarathi (For Art Faulty).

4. Smt. Swaraj Saini prize in Hindi (For Arts Faculty).

5. Dr. (Smt.) Sumati Modak prize in Sanskrit/History.

6. Smt. Sudha Shrotriya prize in Geography.

N.B.-1. Gujarati Medium is available for 11th Arts as well as for 12th Arts.

         2. Students will have to offer only seven subjects, irrespective of medium of instruction.

         3. If the student opts for Sanskrit as one of the subjects, she has to drop any one optional subject.

N.B. - The medium of instruction for commerce is English only.

Note: If students want to opt for foreign language they have to arrange their own personal tutor. The college will only conduct the examination for the same.
